IWAS WHEELCHAIR RUGBY REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009

The IWAS Executive Board held their second meeting of the year in Aylesbury, England. The agenda was wide and varied and included the award of bids for official IWAS events. For the IWAS Sport of Wheelchair Rugby this meant the consideration of bids for Regional Championships.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we announce that the IWAS Wheelchair Rugby European Championships and Asia/Oceania Championships have been awarded, subject to contract, to Denmark and New Zealand respectively.

Asia/Oceania Championships Christchurch, New Zealand 2-9 November 09

IWAS congratulates both Organising Committees on their bids and looks forward to successful Regional Championships where wheelchair rugby players can showcase their skills.
