2006 Telstra Australian National Wheelchair Rugby League
The 2006 Telstra National Wheelchair Rugby League will tip-off at the Sydney Academy of Sport on Friday night 26 May 2006. Games will then run all day Saturday and until lunchtime on Sunday. Other rounds will be held in Adelaide in July and Melbourne in August.
The SA Sharks are looking to defend their title but will face some quality opposition. The Queensland Crocs will be looking to avenge their 1 point defeat in last year’s final, whilst NSW has re-built a hungry young squad and welcome back Brad Dubberley to their line-up. The Victorian team return to the league after taking a year off to re-build their squad with some exciting new young players.
All teams have a significant number of National Squad members on their rosters, along with new talent looking to press their claims for an Australian spot. In a World Championship year we can expect all players to be out to impress the Australian Coaching Staff.
Teams have now released their playing rosters for the season as below.
We are looking forward to a great year of big hits and tough rugby and hope you can get along and enjoy some of the competition throughout the year.
